WEDDING TIPS AND IDEA'S
Welcome to our new section on Wedding Tips and Idea's. We thought how helpful and resourceful the information we have researched will be to anyone planning their memorable wedding day regardless of location, budget and gender. Your feedback is very welcome and please share any valuable tips you discovered with us after your big day and we will gladly add them to this page for all to enjoy. We also offer instalments for those wanting to pay monthly if it helps or you may forward several post dated cheques and we will submit them on the appropriate dates, this is proving very popular as you will have enough to think about as your big day races towards you.

The venue
This is nearly always decided with guests in mind, however, when I got married, we chose a beautiful Island with guaranteed sunshine, golden beaches, crystal waters and flowers in full bloom. What about our guests? friends? family? We had our closest family & friends fly out with us and then had a big reception party back in the UK after our honeymoon!! I got my monies worth out of my (very expensive designer) dress and I felt so much easier choosing it because of this. Win, Win!
It's easy to surf the web for venue details, photo's, sat nav directions and booking guests rooms. Once you have narrowed it down to a few, you can then get on the real road (no more virtual travelling for now) and meet with the venue hosts delighting at the offerings, surroundings and facilities.
For those wishing to choose a more familiar venue such as a local church hall or social club, the world is really your oyster!! You can really go for it with this blank canvas. We regularly transform (and I mean beyond recognition) these venues, and they are often the most stunning results achieved.
Consider your guests with merit, enjoy your guest list, not endure.
Remember your beautiful surroundings, take in the atmosphere, let your guests snap away with their camera's and share photo's with you later.
Once you are both happy with the decisions you have made together, (ignoring ALL the tuts and interfering nonsense).

Where to start...
This really does depend entirely on the type and size of wedding you are thinking of having and also how long you have to plan before your big day.
One excellent starting point if not only to for your own benefit, is to start an 'Inspiration board/book'. You know the season you have chosen, so will you be outside during the day? do you need transport for your guests? Do you like fruit or sponge cake or both? What colours do you like? Examples of floral displays/cakes/dresses/sparkly shoes and of course balloon designs or glassware to complete the day.

Choosing your suppliers
This bit is probably the most important part of ensuring your Wedding day goes to plan. Every wedding involves a degree of professional intervention. This could be Couture cake craft, Bridal design, photographer, florist and the most important of course your venue dresser.
Relatively speaking, most of us decide from the early stages on the elements we require (forgetting one until the last few weeks is normal). This will fall under two headings, 'research required' and those 'recommended' to you.
I will share a story with you to sum up this quandary.
We were booked to provide Balloon décor and chair cover hire for a civil wedding ceremony and wedding reception at a hotel. Having met with our clients months before, venue plans were decided and the day rapidly approached. We received a call from our client just before their full balance was due asking us to reduce the cost of chair cover hire to match another company they had met at a wedding fayre and subsequently cancelled chair cover hire leaving just the décor booking.
We arrived nice and early on the Saturday morning at the hotel and started transforming the room. Shortly after we had started the bride-to-be entered the room very distraught and inconsolable due to the chair cover hire company not turning up to dress the ceremony chairs. Turns out they charged the same as we do and still didn't turn up. We couldn't have offered our own chair covers due to all of them being allocated for prior arranged bookings at numerous venues around Birmingham.
I am sure you will agree, not an ideal situation and the chair hire company were part time/hobby based and not a registered company.

Afford your Wedding easier.
Most couples decide to Marry with at least six months preparation time, some have longer and Yes, some alot less time.
Either way, we now offer Installments with each booking (not just weddings). Providing your balance is cleared no later than four weeks before your special day, we will happily set up monthly or weekly payments with you to spread the cost of your Décor and Chair cover hire. This is extremely flexible to suit you and your situation, so installments are not fixed amounts, just pay off what you can when you can, as long as the balance is fully paid by the balance due date, you will have the wedding/event you dreamt of.*
*We do not offer credit under any circumstances. If there is an outstanding balance at due date, you will receive services up to the value of amount paid.
